Code of Conduct
- The aim of the code of conduct if to maintain a disciplined and purposeful environment at
school whereby all learners are safe, happy and the quality of learning is upheld. - The code of conduct must be adhered to:
A. On the school property
B. At school events both on and off school property - We encourage positive behaviour :
– Being kind to others
– Sharing & taking turns
– Being respectful
– Being respectful of their peers & all educators.
– Expressing themselves in socially acceptable way . i.e. not fight, bully or swear
– Being punctual - Learners must always look neat.
- No littering, damaging or taking of any school or other persons property will be tolerated.
- Classroom rules are based on values such as respect, kindness, safety, sharing, etc
- STRATEGIES USED FOR BEHAVIOUR MODIFICATION:
Positive Reinforcement —Rewards may include praise, star etc. - DISCIPLINARY INTERVENTIONS
– Talk to learner about consequence of behaviour.
– Time out.
– Withdraw privileges e.g. toys, playing on swing.
– Liasing with parents and formulating a joint strategy.
